Once, the landscape shimmers in the morning,
Turns mirage-like in the unsettled imagination, causing things to dissolve….
Briefly, the purple hillsides flicker in the fox-call,
The Sun impregnates the wheat fields,
Faeries dance in a stone circle as the womb of the earth opens up
In the warrens of the slope.
Whin bushes hide the vixen, leave the field to the daisies,
Reeds, the bracken and the rose seduces the bee dances in a circle.
There is lake water dancing, faeries moving to the sound of trees moving,
Great silent wisdom manifesting in the grass
- A wedding commences.
On the hillside two elusive sensations met in a brief and pounding instant,
Merged into one another, male,
Female
Unified in the reeds, disturbing the bees,
Dancing the religion of the heretics, communicating with the rose.
Blackberries launched themselves into deep crimson and velvet spears,
The spirits feasting on their dark, ripe
Presence fleeting changes moving subtly
Over faces of the bracken crackles fire pounding silently
Smiling the spirits embrace and fruit.
They choreograph little vague caresses about the
Bulrushes serenading the green with the lilac of their union.
All the hillside breaths love lulls
The wisdom of the bee to the joy of the rose
And the clasp of the bracken to the freedom of the fruit.
Creation
Comes full circle in the swirling motion of their energy,
Light, multi-coloured onecolour,
Beauty
Thrown in a billion silver spears back around itself.
Love echoes in the fox-call, in the honeysuckle wind blows, the grass
Moves as one thing, thinking the not-self.
The symbol of the Sun evokes the symbol of the ring,
The faerie ring, the wedding ring
The trees gather round to watch the bee dance.

An immaculate poem, quite the spirit of a naturalist, & a highly defined lens👌🏼 superb wordage Chad
